Mobility for One of Europe’s Largest Urban Regions
The Ruhr Metropolis is home to more than five million inhabitants and consists of highly interconnected cities, towns and rural areas. Planersocietät led a multidisciplinary consortium in developing a strategic mobility framework for the region.
The project brought together public authorities, mobility stakeholders and experts to develop a shared understanding of future mobility needs and opportunities. The final strategy outlines actions, pilot projects and governance approaches for a more connected, sustainable and resilient mobility system.
